Arthritis refers to a group of disease which cause pain and stiffness in joints because of inflammation or attrition of joints. Osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis, gets worse with age and is caused by wear and tear over the years. Rheumatoid arthritis is caused by accumulation of immune system units in the joints sometimes built up by infection and therefore cured by antibiotics. Rheumatoid arthritis is known as autoimmune disease.
