Toronto Police arrested a man for assaul and scribbling ink markers on protesters’ clothing and signs in Keele and Bloor West St. area. The group were protesting against abortion where the man approached them and kicked a confronter’s shoulder, then knocked her phone down and fled the area. Yesterday he surrendered to police after a week lost. The incidents reminding of assault on another group of abortion protesters occurred this August in Dufferin and Dundas West Streets, where a cyclist attacked them and grabbed one of their signs, then pushed one of a woman into a pool. He was arrested afterwards and charged with assault.
