2 Out Of 2.7 Toronto Residents Are Eligible To Vote On 22nd October

Toronto Municipal Election will be held on 22nd October  in 50 locations including two in each ward, to elect Toronto Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees in 2018. Two out of 2.7 Toronto residents can vote in this year election on October. Eligible voters have to register their name online before the election date. There are also Advance Vote dates from 10 to 14th October between 10:AM and 7:PM. This year Toronto Residents has the opportunity to vote from home via internet, online. There are 501 certified candidates composed of 35 mayor, 242 City Councillor, and 224 Trustee candidates in total in 25 wards. The election will be held on 1700 voting places all around Toronto. Electors can find more information online at: http://toronto.ca/elections/myvote

Approximately 1800 persons will be recruited and trained to fulfill various positions on the date of voting and work during the Advanced Vote days. 

2.5 million ballots (each for one voter), 2000 vote tabulators and 60 Votery Assist Terminals are prepared and secured in this election.
