237 Arrested For Election Offences In Iran Yesterday

AA Mizan reports: Gholam-Hossein Esmaili, Judiciary Chief in Tehran, has said that 120 people have been arrested in this Province during 11th parliamentary election that were held yesterday country wide for exchanging the votes in return of money at the polls.

Hadi Hashemian, Judiciary Chief in Golestan  Province, has confirmed of 50 arrests that were made in this province yesterday during the election for this offence. He said 20 of the captures have been in police custody from then.  27 captures in Zahedan, 8 in Fardis and 2 in Karaj have been arrested for the same offence.

Attorney General in Ardabil, Naser Atbati, has reported of 22 arrests that 11 of them have been in custody at this time for the quarrel between opponent candidates of the province which led to physical assaults and conflicts.
