The Ottawa Police Service is currently investigating a shooting occurred on January 16.
At approximately 6:00pm Wednesday, three males entered a fast food restaurant near 100 Montreal Road and engaged a male patron in a verbal confrontation. Multiple shots were fired at the victim who was struck and the suspects fled the restaurant.
The victim, who is known to police, was transported to hospital and his life was saved.
This was a targeted shooting with intention and the victim and the suspects knew each other.
The Guns & Gangs Unit will not be releasing any further information at this time while the investigation is on-going.
The restaurant was closed for the evening while the investigation proceeded. Guns & Gangs Unit is asking any witnesses of this shooting to contact police.
