3000 survival kits were provided by social service agencies for homeless people today in Toronto. Over 150 volunteers participated to pack the kits and bundle them. CPEU, Community Partnership and Emergency Unit helped with Toronto Police in this 21st annual Winter Survival project to save homeless people in this cold winter time.
Kits were filled by food, sleeping bags, special winter warm safe jackets, and other necessary things like socks and gloves. Volunteers worked really fast to make the kits ready and distribute them on time.
